Fast Facts about the Cheer Board:
- Started in 1919 after WW1, various churches started to collect food and toys for orphans and families of lost solders
- Mid 1940's the churches came together to make one organization and their efforts were joined and duplicated efforts were eliminated
- Today more than 5000 volunteers are a part of the Cheer Board - volunteers pack hampers, wrap gifts, purchase goods and deliver hampers

Is it just me or was this week a wild one? I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get to enjoy the sunshine!!
Here is our winner! Harold took home the beloved Tomato Trophy for growing the heaviest tomato this summer!
Our contest began with everyone receiving a tomato plant (grown from the same seeds and same environment), we took our plants home, we named them and gave them all the love and attention a healthy tomato needs. As the days passed we brought in our tomatoes for the exciting weigh in.
I must say the competitive natures of our staff was hilarious! I had staff sending me updated pictures of their growing plants, some staff dressed theirs up with props and others well....some plants were forgotten about :(
At the end of the day the contest was a huge sucess and a ton of fun!!
...Harold's "Big Red" weighed in at a healthy 219 grams! Great work!
