Our story started in 1969 at 986 Wall Street, in Winnipeg Manitoba and continues to grow 50+ years later. In the early years, CTR took on the Carrier Transicold transport dealership, selling, installing, and repairing refrigeration equipment for trucks and trailers. Today CTR continues to hold the exclusive rights to the Carrier line in Manitoba and we are one of Canada’s largest transport refrigeration equipment suppliers.

In 1985, CTR opened the Automotive & Industrial branch which started with one shelf of inventory, eventually expanding to a massive warehouse with hundreds of product lines and over 2,000 sku’s. CTR has partnered with 4 major buying groups and continues to support local businesses with free parts delivery within Winnipeg’s perimeter limits. For parts outside of the perimeter, CTR offers shipping across Canada for our out-of-town customers.

CTR Northern was created in 1995 as there was a demand for our products and sourcing skills up North. Over the years, CTR’s team members have enjoyed several trips to Nunavut to learn the wonderful culture and meet with our loyal customers face-to-face. Our northern friends have always welcomed us with open arms and for that we are grateful.

Over the years, CTR has become a cohesive unit, with over 80 employees, we hold a huge level of respect and dedication towards each other, our customers, suppliers and the CTR brand. We have always prided ourselves on integrity and commitment to our community. At CTR, we promote a work-life balance to ensure our team can put their best foot forward in their personal lives and in the office.
