Our long weekend hours: open today until 5:30 and we'll re-open on Tuesday October 10th at 7:30 am.
It was a fantastic event for all! The stews were unique and very tasty!
As usual our customer's even took part which always adds to the fun!
A huge thank you to all who cooked, served, shopped, cleaned and tasted the great stews! I`m sure this will become an annual event, the staff are already planning it. In fact, they are thinking our next contest should be for SOUP! How yummy does that sound???

Today is the day!
We are having our first ever stew cookoff! We are not new to cook offs though...over the years we've hosted three chili cook offs that have been a huge hit!
Today we have five entries, the entries are anonymous and the staff are the judges :) It's a great day and we are excited for lunch to arrive!!!

First prize wins $150.00 gift card and an awesome trophy!!! For second prize they receive a $75.00 gift card and all participants get $50.00 gift card. Yeah hooooooo!
CTR Carrier Transport Refrigeration is in the midst of a Lean Transformation. We have introduced Lean Six Sigma in our shop and we are in the works to begin a similar transformation into our auto warehouse and operational systems.
Our wins for this project include:
-Lean Thinking and Implementation
-5S Projects ie: Process Changes and Standardization of: fuel, oil, freon, shop supplies, technician's scaffolds and tools, office SOP's and installation drawings.
We are excited to implement the world of lean. Every Thursday at 3:00 our group meets to review our progress, share our ideas, and celebrate our big wins! Great work done by our entire transport refrigeration Carrier team!!! It is the technicans that are bringing forth the ideas and setting these improvements into action. Good well done team!
Our value circle includes a sector titled: Customer Focus. Our goal of Lean means we are servicing our customers in an absolute efficient manner. We provide a value added experience and focus on customer's needs every step of the way.

CTR Northern is shipping 6 sea cans up North this year. We are shipping building supplies, oil, automotive parts, industrial and shop products, food, heaters, tires, power tools and accessories, drills, hand tools, jacks, safety boots and gloves, lighting and electrical supplies, doors, hardware, hose, wire, ice paint, stainless steal table tops, recreational supplies chemicals and lubricants, hydraulic pumps, copper piping for plumbing, AND MORE! Our goal is to source every Northern need for every Northern industry.
CTR Northern has been working with Northern needs for almost 20 years! Seacans will be delivered to remote locations such as Coral Harbour, Rankin Inlet and Baker Lake.
Northern Business Development Manager Pat Hebert, CTR Operations Manager Nick Young and Northern Senior Sourcing Salesperson Mike Aney source the above requests all year long and the shipping season is every August and September. CTR is lucky to have such an incredible group of employees and amazing Northern customers to support.
